Biography

Donald Bain, son of Kenneth Bain and Christian Water of Harpsdale was baptised on 11 January 1807 in the parish of Halkirk, Caithness.[1]

Donald married Margaret Campbell in the parish of Halkirk, Caithness on 21 February 1839.[2]

Donald and Margaret had ten children born in Halkirk:

  2. William Bain (baptised 16 December 1841)[5]
  3. Margaret Bain (baptised 28 February 1844)[6]
  4. Helen Bain (baptised 17 May 1846)[7]

Donald died at Harpsdale, Halkirk on 4 December 1886, aged 80.[14]
