Biography

Baker was born in Scotland Road, Liverpool, Lancashire. His parents were working class Liverpudlian; his mother, Mary Jane (née Fleming), a cleaner, was a devout Catholic and his father, John Stewart Baker, was a seaman.^[1]

John died about May 1968, aged about 63. Cremated 22 May 1968, He was buried in Anfield Cemetery and Crematorium, Anfield, Metropolitan Borough of Liverpool, Merseyside.^[2]
