DR. WARREN BALDWIN, B.A., who died at Olive Island, Muskoka, 23 Mar 1903, was born in 1864, a son of Robert Baldwin and Jemima MacDougall.
He attended Upper Canada College and the University of Toronto, graduating in 1886. He then studied medicine at Trinity Medical School, and took the degree of M.B. at Toronto University in 1889. He continued his studies in Philadelphia under Dr. Kent. He returned to Toronto and practised for three years, after which failing health caused him to move to Muskoka, where worked until his death in 1903.
On 15 Jun 1892 in Hamilton he married his third cousin Catherine Alicia Baldwin Ridley (1 Sep 1869 - 29 Mar 1955). [1]She was a native of Hamilton, and a daughter of Dr. Henry T. Ridley (d. 1896), a well-known physician of that city, born in 1827, son of Dr. Ridley, of Belleville, who had married Catharine Mary Murney, daughter of Hon. Edmund Murney, of Belleville. Dr. Ridley studied medicine at MeGill, and for many years practised in Hamilton. Dr. Ridley's children (Catherine's siblings) were:

Mrs. Baldwin; and
Sophia E. D. Ridley.
