• David Baldwin, son of Caleb Baldwin and Naomi Hard; was born in Newtown, Connecticut on March 17, 1758.^[1]
• He married Feb 12, 1778, Hannah Brooks; who died Feb 15, 1826, age 68 yrs; and he died April 14, 1811.^[2]
• Said to have been a merchant and prominent citizen; served in the Militia, and was "popularly known as General".^[2]
