Biography

Anne Elizabeth "Lizzie" Ball was born in New Ross, Wexford, Ireland on 27 July 1846. She was the daughter of William Walker Ball and Eliza Lake Legge Parke.

She married Surgn.-Maj. Alexander Russell Atkinson before 1866.

Her husband died in 1866.

At the age of 26 she married, secondly, Major Archibald Ernest Arbuthnot (son of Archibald Francis Arbuthnot and Hon. Gertrude Sophia Gough) on 14 November 1872 at Madras, India.^[1]

They went on to have four children.

UK Census Event Date 31 March 1901: Living with her husband, daughter Editha and two servants in St Helens, Hampshire, England. Aged 54.

She died in 1922. ^[2]
