Research Notes

A virtual memorial has been created on FindAGrave for his first wife, Elizabeth Warren, citing her death date as 1882, conflating it with that of his second wife. citing "The Means Family of America" Genealogy Book. Editor: Elizabeth Cissel Foglesong. Published in 1972, page 95. Either his second marriage is complete omitted or the connections on the census records are for another John W. Barnes.
