Biography

Nathan was born in 1667.

Nathan Bassett married Mary Huckins, a blacksmith, on 2 Oct 1690 at Martha's Vineyard, Dukes, Massachusetts.[1][2][3]

The children were all born at Chilmark, Massachusetts.

  2. Samuel Bassett, b. 04 Feb 1693 [5]
  3. Cornelius Bassett, b. 21 April 1695 [6]
  4. Elizabeth Bassett, b. 12 Sept 1699 [7]
  5. Baraciah Bassett, b. 02 March 1704 [8]
  6. John Bassett, b. 25 April 1706 [9]
  7. Hope Bassett, b. 26 Jul 1708 in Chilmark, Dukes, Massachusetts. [10][11]

Nathan's Will was signed 1 January 1739/40 lists[12] It lists the following people:

  4. daughters Mary Smith, Elizabeth Smith, and Hope Tisdale

Nathan Bassett died 16 Nov 1743 and was interred at Abel's Hill Cemetery, Chilmark, Dukes, Massachussetts[13][14]
