Daniel Henwood (circa 1681) married Ann Bate 13 August 1704 Cardinham. Ann was probably the daughter of Roger and Ann Bate baptised at Blisland a few miles away on 1 March 1688.On 15 January 1716 a lease from Richard Arundell of Lanherne to Roger Bate of Cardinham yeoman and John Henwood of Cardinham tanner of ¾ of a tenement called Wilton now in tenure of Roger Bate for a consideration of £24, witnessed by Francis Dungar and Ralph Cook. [CRO ref AR/4/ No.1736] This lease appears to pass on to William Henwood, the son of Daniell Henwood and Anne Bate, the lease on the property in Lower Tresance, which Roger Bate, (Anne’s father), had leased in 1688. Her father Roger Bate in his will of 1730 names his Henwood grandchildren, children of Ann Henwood nee Bate. Ann Henwood buried 6 August 1752 at St.Neot, and Daniel buried in December 1752 at Cardinham. aged 77?
