Biography

Richard was the son of James Bate and Alice Glover, he married (1) Susan Isham on 3 June 1633 and (2) Ellen Wallis on 18 April 1637

Richard lived at Lydd, Kent and was the only one of the family left behind in the emigration to America. Richard was named trustee in his father's will, but died March 6, 1656. A 26 Nov 1655 codicil gave Richard land in Lydd, Kent, England.
