I couldn't find any confirmation for these dates in town records or probates. Looking at the ancestry trees and the International Marriage database record this is a conflation of Bates-378 (which aligns with the International Marriage database record) and the imagined sons of two different Edward Bates (Bates-2773 and Bate-91).
I'd propose that we settle the identity of this profile based on the marriage and merge it with Bates-378 after updating the vital records.
Or alternatively, we leave the profile and add the uncertain existence profile template.
