Penelope Bayning was born in 1638, the daughter of Sir Paul Bayning and his wife Penelope Naunton. [1] She was born after her father's death on 11 July 1638 and baptized by her mother on 14 November 1638 in St Olave, Hart Street, City of London, England.[2]
On 6 June 1651 at St Mary Rotherhithe, Southwark, Surrey, [3] she married John Herbert, youngest son of the 4th Earl of Pembroke. There was no issue of the marriage.
Penelope Herbert died in 1657 and was buried on 1 May at St John's Chapel, Westminster Abbey. [1]
