Biography

Edward Bays was an Appalachian.

Edward was born about 1851. In the 1860 census Edward (age 9) was in Russell, Virginia, with his mother, his grandmother, and his siblings. ^[1]

He was a Farmer. He was married when he passed away at age 79 on 31 January 1931 at Summerlee, Fayette County, West Virginia. He was buried in the Bays family cemetery. The informant on his death was J.T. Bays. ^{[2] [3]}

John Edward and Elizabeth (Treadwell) Bays' daughter Cynthia Bays was born on 3 January 1892 in Oak Hill, Fayette County, West Virginia.^[4]
