Henry was born about 1827. In 1862 he was 5ft 9 and 3/4, with light hair, blue eyes and light complexion. His occupation was farmer. In 1863 his wife Fereby (Phoebe) was named as his beneficiary in a pension ^[1] He enlisted in the US Civil War as a private on 13 Aug 1862 and mustered in the 87th Infantry Regiment, Company A on the Union Side on 22 Sep 1862^[2][3].

He passed away 1 Jul 1863, at the Siege of Vicksburg^[2][4].

His wife was granted a widow's pension on the 3rd of September, 1863^[5][6].
