I am primarily focusing on genetic genealogy to confirm my family tree and hopefully break through some brick walls. Sometimes I end up creating a lot of profile pages when I am doing the DNA confirmation or research. Paternal relationship is confirmed by a FamilyTreeDna triangulated group consisting of Shannon Dufour, KW, and RWS who share a segment greater than 8 cm on Chromosome 7. Shannon is descended from THOMAS EDRINGTON, KW is descended from JOHN EDRINGTON, and RWS is descended from GEORGE EDRINGTON), all children of James Edrington/Ederington and wife. This TG is awaiting independent verification by others in the group.***

Paternal relationship is confirmed by a triangulation group on MyHeritageDna consisting of Shannon Trusty; Capp1, child of LEON CAPPLEMAN-1926; and Pst1, child of RALPH PRIEST-1919, who share a 8.3 cM segment on Chromosome 5. Shannon shares a 21.4 cM segment with Pst1 and a 27.1cM segment with Capp1, and the 8.3 cM segment overlaps with all 3 cousins in the middle. Capp1 and Pst1 share 19.2 cM with each other which likely indicates another shared segment between those cousins, possibly on an additional chromosome. Shannon and Capp1 are 5C; Shannon and Pst1 are 5C; and Pst1 and Capp1 are half 4C through Mary Ederington and 6C through Mary's husband George. Shannon is descended from Easter/Ester Kuykendall Metcalf; and DR and LM are descended from her brother Simon Kuykendall. DR descends from Simon's son John Kuykendall and LM descends from John's brother Jacob Metcalf Kuykendall. Shannon and DR are 6C1R; Shannon and LM are 6C1R; and DR and LM are 5C. Easter and Simon both married Metcalf's so there is some chance this segment originates from the Metcalf line. This triangulation group is immediately adjacent to the Duke/McLaughlin group which has a line through Ann Duke. It should be noted that Ann Duke's maternal grandmother was Easter Kuykendall. The Kuykendall triangulation group is sandwiched between the Duke/McLaughlin one and a 12.4 cM segment shared with Shannon and CL, who is descended from Jacob Kuykendall, Abraham Kuykendall's son who did not marry a Metcalf. Chromosome 16 is involved in fewer recombination events compared to the other chromosomes. [1]. The shared matches with this triangulation group are largely Kuykendall and I have not yet identified any shared Metcalf segments. Therefore, it is more likely the segment is Kuykendall in origin.
