Biography

Joan was the daughter of William Beauchamp and Joan FitzAlan/de Arundel.^[1][2]

Joan married James Butler no later than 28 August 1413. ^[1][2] They had the following children:

• James^[1][2]
• John^[1][2]
• Thomas^[1][2]
• Elizabeth, who married John Talbot^[1][2]
• Anne, who was contracted in marriage to Thomas FitzJames/FitzGerald, 7th Earl of Desmond, but died in 1435, probably before the marriage could take place^[1][2]

Joan died on 3 or 5 August 1430 and was buried in the chapel of St Thomas of Acre (St Thomas Acon.), Cheapside, London.^[1][2]
