private James Beaugh served with the United States Army during the Mexican-American War Service Started: 1846 Unit(s): 1st Regiment, Louisiana Infantry Service Ended: 1848
James was born circa 1809. A later census record attributed to James's son states that he was born in Tennessee.[1]
He married Azelie Richard on June 24, 1839 in St. Landry, Louisiana, USA.[2]
James served as a Private in the 1st Louisiana Infanty from 1846-1848 during the Mexican American war, sparked by the American annexation of Texas.[3]
He probably died in 1852. His wife re-married in that year. It is possible given his age that his death was associated with his previous war service, though no death record or grave marker has yet been found.
