GEDCOM-created biographies need a lot of editing. Read more here. When in doubt, leave info in, and let someone else edit that part.

(Having just imported a 700-person GEDCOM myself, I found the process handy for matching duplicates, but adding profiles manually is far more efficient than importing them. So I'd recommend using the match function, but not the import.)
