I believe most of the information that has been placed in this profile is for another Reuben Bennett, son of Peter Bennett. Although Thomas Bennett, Jr. and his wife Mary Ann Oldham Bennett did have a son named Reuben Bennett, he was born 1 Oct 1745 in Westmoreland County, Virginia.[1]

Furthermore, according to the Find A Grave memorial, the Reuben Bennett, who was born in 1757 in Staunton City, Virginia and who married Elizabeth Tarpley and who died 21 Mar 1808 in Wilkes County, Georgia, was the son of Peter Bennett and Frances Vardeman Bennett.[2]

Research Note

While there appears to be a marriage record for a Thomas Bennett and Mary Hardy for 25 Dec 1782 at Christ Church, Middlesex County, Virginia, there does not appear to be one for Reuben Bennett and Elizabeth Tarpley.[3]
