Birth and Family

Mary (Benton) Bigelow was born on 14 Apr 1655, in Milford, New Haven, Connecticut. She was baptised on 15 Apr 1655, in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. Mary was the daughter of Andrew Benton and Hannah (Stocking) Benton. ^[1]

Marriage

Mary was married three times. Her first marriage was to (#1) Nathaniel Cole, m. on 23 Oct 1684; Her second marriage was to (#2) Jonathan Bigelow, about the year 1710. Her final marriage was to (#3) John Shepard, Jr., m. on 12 May 1712. (Families of Early Hartford, Connecticut, p. 63 and 522).
