Biography
John was born in February 1768 in Machias, Maine. He married Nancy Prescott on July 07, 1793 in Machias. Together they had at least seven (perhaps 8) children before Nancy died in 1804.
After Nancy died, he married again Abigail Getchell on 31 Mar 1805 also in Machias and they had two children together.
Secretary of State Correspondence Record states that John F Berry wrote a petition recommending Wales Hubbard to the office of Reporter of Decisions for the Supreme Judicial Court on 1 March 1859 (aged 91 years). [1]
John died a few months after his son Westbrook who had been caring for his aging parents died. He is buried at Cole's Cemetery in Machias.
