Please accept my long-pending request to be added to the Trusted List for John Shapleigh (Shapleigh-23). I want to track changes to the profile and currently the only way to do that is by being on the Trusted List.
Thanks!

I've been finding the little moniker plastered over many profiles, and it would be better if you used preferred wikitree style guidelines in the future, and used standard citation formats. If you're concerned that your contributions will not be recognized, check out the "changes" tab that appears on every profile. All your edits are recorded.

Sources are one of the most important things we insist on at WikiTree, and they are in the honour code.
Please add sources when you edit or create profiles. Brad

Thank you, Bobbie
I see you've created some duplicate profiles in the past few days. Please pay close attention to names that WikiTree suggests when you are trying to add a new profile. Often, especially for profiles of people in the 17th and 18th centuries, there will already be a profile here. S Willson Arborist

When our hearts turn to our ancestors, something changes inside us. We feel part of something greater than us. — Russell M Nelson
In addition, several profiles were pre-1700 profiles, which require a higher standard of reliability. I realize you're new at WikiTree, so you might want to review the pre-1700 requirement to cite reliable sources. Sources such as online trees are simply not adequate for these older ancestors.
If you have questions about this, please feel free to contact your Pre-1700 Greeter, who would be happy to help. Her post can be found in the Comments at the bottom of your profile. Thanks for your contributions, and best wishes on WikiTree!
I also noticed that you have an image in the name fields of a number of your profiles. I presume this denotes a particular family line? However a part of having one profile per person is that a profile, apart from those of immediate family, could be an ancestor of any number of people and consequently that sort of individual styling is not encouraged. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Name_Fields#Personal_coding_systems
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Sources are very important here on Wikitree, especially on Pre-1700 profiles. It is how we show where we got the info and help others find it too. Find out more about sources here and more detailed info here.
Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.
If you have any questions, click reply below this message and I will get back to you.

I am pleased to confirm you as a member and welcome you to the WikiTree family. Your contributions will go a long way to joining the world’s trees together.
I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
Please add as much information as you can, with sources, as it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
Have fun collaborating on your Gove, Henry, Jenkins and McDormand ancestors

Thank you for volunteering, Before we confirm your membership, would you edit your tags and comments to give us a bit more information about your genealogical interests.
The tags we follow and the comments we make about them at WikiTree help us connect with other members. Tags should be single surnames, locations, or genealogical interests related to your family research. Comments should relate to why those tags interest you.
You can do this by editing your tags/comments We will then be happy to confirm you as a member. If you have any questions about how WikiTree works, let me know by using the "reply" link under my comments or by clicking my name to visit my profile. From there you can leave a comment or send a private message.
Thank you!
