Obituary Mrs. Ada Skinner Dies A Native of This City

"Mrs. Ada Blanchard Skinner, a native of this city and mother of Prof. Clarence R. Skinner of Tufts college died yesterday morning at the New England sanitarium at Melrose where she had been a patient for some time."

"Her parents were James and Harriet Blanchard. In 1874 she married Charles Montgomery Skinner and for some time the couple lived at Brooklyn, N.Y., where Mr. Skinner was editor of the Brooklyn Eagle. After his death in 1907, Mrs. Skinner lived a an old family home in Vermont, and subsequently moved to Cambridge about five years ago to be near her son the only survivor."

"Mrs. Skinner had been associated with activities of the Community church at Cambridge and was a member of the Woman's International League for Peace. She was also interested in hospital activities."[1]
