François Xavier was born about 1747. He was the son of Joseph Blanchard and Marguerite Genevieve Pitre. [1]
In 1758 he was deported from Ile Saint-Jean to France with his family. [2] François-Xavier disembarked in Saint-Malo on 23 January 1759 with his parents, the only surviving child of this family. His younger siblings died at sea during the crossing. His father died three weeks later.
He was recorded on censuses in France in 1762 at Saint-Suliac, age 15, and in 1772 at Saint-Malo, age 25. [1]
He passed away after the 1772 census.
BLANCHARD #31 a - Born around 1747. Also handwritten notes on the reverse of BLANCHARD #30. - Joseph BLANCHARD, his wife Marguerite-Geneviève PITRE, and their son François-Xavier, age 12 years, disembarked at St-Malo, four other of the children having died during the crossing. Joseph BLANCHARD followed them to the grave three weeks after their arrival (Archives of Port St-Servan). On 1762 census in Saint-Suliac, age 15 years. On 1772 census in Saint-Malo, age 25.
