Biography
Elizabeth Adamina was born on 24 December 1828 in the Cape Colony; she was the daughter of Josiah Benjamin Adam Bland and Cecilia Fredrica (du Plessis) Bland.
She was 20 years old when she married William Hooper, a Merchant aged 26 years in the Aliwal Church (Mosselbay) near George, Cape Colony on 5 September 1849.[1]
