Elizabeth was born in 1857. She is the daughter of Jabez Booth and Grace Silverwood.

As of 1891, Elizabeth was still single. She was the head of house, working as a “Mender Worsted Piecer.” William Henry Kaye, a nephew through one of her half-siblings, lived with her.
