Squires purchased the interest in inheritance for the other lot from heir Jos. T. Booth--- lots 9 & 10 on court report; mentions dower corner, lot 6, McGinnis, Hinkle, lot 8 Note: There is likely an earlier deed for Joseph T. Booth to Turley M. Squires for Joseph’s share in his father’s land.

1866 William O. Wilson and Milly F. Wilson, his wife, late Milly F. Boothe, daughter of William Boothe, deceased, of Nicholas County to George Henry of Bourbon County January 1866 Deed Book 54, pp. 394-396 $1500 for 27 acres Known as lot no. 1 in court division of land (inherited from Milly F. Boothe’s father) Waters of Hinkston Creek Mentions: corner to George Henry, corner to widow Milly Booth Note: This land is on the Bourbon/Nicholas line at or near the end of Convict Road, as that is supposed to be the area where William and Milly Booth had land and where they are buried. This is the deed where the land was sold.

1872 Susanah Wilson, Jesse M. Wilson, Martha F. Wilson, his wife, and George H. Wilson to Jefferson M. R. Booth, all of Nicholas County, DB 59, pp. 130-131, April 27, 1872, $1, 096.63 for 24 acres 1 rood, 21 poles tract in Bourbon County; “Beginning at stake at low water mark of Hinkston on the Bourbon side and comes to the parties of the first part and Andrew Banta…”, J.A. Younger corner, “to opposite side the mouth of Summerset”, Note: At end of deed it also notes that it was recorded in Bourbon County (where we found the deed).

1873 Jefferson R. Booth to Rhoda Bramblett, DB 59, p. 507, July 22, 1873, 4/10 of dower of Milly Booth—only have very beginning lines of this deed; Note-Rhoda Booth was a sister to Jefferson R. Booth who married Nathan Bramblett. Rhoda, age 36, died of consumption on Jan. 1870 re U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedule-deaths for year ending June 1, 1870, Flat Rock Precinct, Bourbon County, KY. So is this a different Rhoda or perhaps a replacement for an earlier lost deed? We need the rest of this deed.

1878 William Booth heirs (John R. Booth and Lucy, his wife and Millie F. Wilson and Wm. O. Wilson, her husband), to Jefferson M. R. Booth, DB 63, p. 410, Sept. 17, 1878; 2/10 interest in dower land of Millie Booth that totals about 103 acres for $300; “surrounded by the lands of George Henry, William Price, Turley M. Squires, Richard Utterback, Benjamin Henry, Samuel H. Booth, and Hinkston Creek”; interest of John R. Booth and Millie F. (Booth) Wilson in dower land of their mother, Millie Booth, as heirs of William Booth; deed made to replace one “made many years ago” but was lost. Note: This does not give date of the original deed.

James H. Wilson, along with two others, had been appointed by the Bourbon County court to divide the lands of William Booth among his heirs. A report was given to the court in October 1864 (re one of the deeds found). I have found reference to 10 lots of land. Also mentioned in some of the deeds is the dower land but I have found nothing to describe it yet. Lot Number/approximate acreage 1 (27acres)-Milly Frances (Booth) Wilson and husband William Oliver Wilson—deed shows they sell the 27 acre tract on waters of Hinkston to George Henry in January 1866; have not found deed where Milly received the land 2 (26 acres)-John R, Booth 3 (28 acres)-Jefferson Booth 4 (42 acres jointly)-Samuel H. Booth and William A. Booth-lots 4 and 5 go jointly to them; 42 acres on Hinkston, mentions dower line and lines with C. Utterback 5 (See 4)- Samuel H. Booth and William A. Booth-lots 4 and 5 go jointly to them 6 (27 acres)-Susan P. (Booth) Wilson and husband James H. Wilson-about 27 acres on Hinkston, deeded in January 1865 7 (30 acres)-Rhoda (Booth) Bramblett and husband Nathan Bramblett 8 (40 acres)-Mary (Booth) Bramblett and husband John Bramblett 9 (70 acres for this and lot 10 together)-Nancy (Booth) Squires and husband Turley M. Squires 10 (See 8)Turley M. Squires—this was the inheritance of Joseph T. Booth. The deed says that Turley Squires had bought his interest in the land—no date of that transaction given. 27 + 25 + 28 + 42 +27 +30 +40 + 70= 289 acres total; there should also be a document for the dower land that is supposed to be about 103 acres [re William Booth heirs (John R. Booth and Lucy, his wife and Millie F. Wilson and Wm. O. Wilson, her husband), to Jefferson M. R. Booth, DB 63, p. 410, Sept. 17, 1878; deed states that dower land totaled about 103 acres] 289 acres deeded to the children of William and Millie (Brandon) Booth in 1865 plus 103 acres of Millie (Brandon) Booth’s dower land would be a total of 392 acres. We only have one deed showing William Booth acquiring land ----Samuel Booth and wife, Roda, to William Booth, Deed Book R, pp100-101, November 13, 1823,$1.00 for100 acres in bend of Hinkson; plus in the same document--- also a tract of about fifty or sixty acres more or less adjoining the above tract for which he holds a bond on Andrew Swearingen; also mentions a lease that William Booth holds on Thomas Wilson (no acreage given. This would only be a total of 150 or 160 acres (assuming William Booth ended up with all the land named). *Need to look for more lands acquired by William Booth
