Biography
Elizabeth Ann Booth was born 30 July 1795 in Clerkenwell and baptised on 2 December 1795 at Little Prescott Street Baptist Church, Stepney. [1]
She married William Henry Mitchell on 26 June 1821 at St Ann, Blackfriars, London. [2]
Eliza Ann, along with her husband William Henry Mitchell and children emigrated to South Australia on the Katherine Stewart Forbes, arriving 17 October 1837. [3]
She died 10 Oct 1873 at Point Sturt, the home of her son Frederick William Mitchell. [4] The following notice was printed in the Southern Argus:
MITCHELL.— On the 10th October, at her son's residence Point Sturt, Eliza Ann, widow of the late W. H. Mitchell, formerly of Melbourne-Street, North Adelaide, aged 77 years. [5]
