Iva married Myrle Milton Spahr in Halifax, Dauphin county, Pennsylvania, USA, on 7 Febuary 1920.[4]

Some time between1925 and 1929 the family moved to Michigan. They lived several places in Muskegon county, Michigan, before settling in their home on "Smith's Bayou" (RD 1, Spring Lake, Ottawa county, Michigan, USA)
Iva passed away of "Cardiac Arrest" on Monday the 27th of August 1973.[5][6][7]
