Berry was born in 1901. Son of Lulu Berry and Harry Ellsworth Boston. In June 1913 Berry Boston won $5.00 money earning contest which closed on the 1st of June. There were ten boys who entered the contest and the largest amount earned during the year was $38.00. Roseville Tribune June 13, 1913 page 4 col 2. He was united in marriage to Miss Nina Wolfe in Roseville on August 17, 1927. She is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. E. C. Wolfe. They had three children including Berry Ellsworth Boston Jr. married to Patricia Wamsley, and Ernest Clarence Boston, married Sandra Arnold and Marcia married Mr. Churchill. Berry was a excellent dentist in Roseville, CA.

BOSTON Editor's Note: , Following is the twenty-second in a series of articles prepared by the Roseville Lions club Jn which one member of the local iden will be "spotlighted" each Wednesday. The day is dedicated to that Lion, and members of the den are expected to visit him at his office or place of business. This is the bright and springy day that all goode Lions should wend their way (not weary) to the office of Berry E. Boston, D. D. S., the gent pictured above. The "doc" promises not to pull, fill or even examine a single tooth during said visit. Dr. Beny Boston is a past president of the Roseville Lions club, and, incidentally, a past member of the elementary school board of trustees. He wa8 born in Rocklin, February 1, 1901, and moved to Roseville with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Boston, in 1908. . " . To dash back a spell in Berry's biography, his great grandfather, John Berry, was first justice of the peace in Roseville, and his grandparents, Thomas and Grace Berry, were num bered among the first Roseville settlers, coming here in 1863. During Berry's school years, his vacations were spent in working for the late Wallace-Hemphill. Jerry Shelley, the late William Butler; Huskinson's Drug store and the P. F. E. He also performed some services for Perry Clark, former manager of the P.G. & E. office here, showing that, he was a versatile chap. Berry was graduated from the Roseville grammar and high schools and then went on to complete his education at the University of California Dental college. Coming back to Roseville, our subject started The practice of dentistry in January 192?, establishing an" office in the Wolf & Rover building. . Later he moved to the Follow building, where he remained until 1934. Then he built a bungalow office building on the site of his grandmother Berry's home, where he is now located. Dr. Berry Boston was married to Nina Mae Wolfe in 1927. They have three children. Berry, Jr.. Ernest and Marcia Mae Boston. His avocation (meaning hobby) is playing the violin and he also enjoys hunting and knocking the golf ball around. Here Is Why Speaker Missed Meeting Here Frederick V. Bowers, a representative of the American Society of Com posers, Authors and Publishers (A. S. j . A. P.). who was scheduled to appear before the Roseville Lions club last Wednesday noon, entertained the Auburn Lions club that day through , some inadvertent mistaKe in arrangements here. According to Bowers, who arrived in Roseville Wednesday evening, it was his understanding that the Lions club meeting was to have been held at night. He already had made the Auburn noon meeting date. As the whole thing worked out, both Bowers and Elwyn H. Gregory, program chairman for the Lions club meeting, were considerably irritated over the mlsarrangemenL Initiation Conducted By Holy Name Society Eleven members were Inmatea Thursday evening at a meeting of the local Holy Name Society held In St. Rose's Catholic church. Father Thomas Kirby, doscean director, officiated. Special guests also were Ward Hopkins and Elwood Gill made for a doscean meeting to be held here April 28 at 8 p. m. Delegates will attend from all parishes. Refreshments were served at the conclusion of Thursday's meeting.
