Biography
When Catherine Bowers was born on December 25, 1832, in Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany, her father, Martin, was 27 and her mother, Mary, was 12. She married Harvey Byrns in 1855. They had three children during their marriage. She died on January 2, 1905, in Illinois, at the age of 72.
