Ruth was born in 1887. She was the daughter of Peter Bowes and Frances Shonkwiler. She passed away in 1975.

Graveside services will be at 11 a m. Wednesday at Mount Hope Cemetery for Ruth Bowes, 88, 1334 Buchanan, who died Saturday in a Topeka hospital where she was admitted July 6 after she suffered a broken left hip in a fall.

She was born March 18, 1887, in Kansas and lived in Topeka many years.

A half-sister, Fannie Bowes, 2075 Fillmore, survives.

Parker Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
