Biography

Both Sarah's parents died (possibly drowned) in the mid-1830s near Pineville, Louisiana, leaving several young children who were living with their brother Anderson Bradley in 1840.

Sarah Ann Bradley was then raised by Mrs. Virdrine at Franklin in St. Mary's Parish. Due to the French influence her name was sometimes spelled "Corienne". (Antoine and Josephine (Ortego) Vidrine???)
