She is the daughter of William Braun that changed his name to Brown. It is unknown when the name change occurred. Her name as Braun was never found but her father was a Braun at first when he came to the Colonies. No other sources, so his profile wasn't created. I believe it's time to recognize that Brown-8734 and Braun-97 be merged into Brown-8734 or Braun-97. Her father William Braun anglized his name to Brown but it's not known if she was born a Braun or Brown but William Dye Sr did marry an Elizabeth Brown. This =note= should be stated in the merged Bio. for Brown Braun researchers. Wiiliam Braun Brown's wife's first and last name isn't known. Elizabeth's father was found on land deeds and his name was Braun and William Dye married a Brown that was living near the now William Brown with no other Browns being found by researchers living in the Halifax County area.
I got this info from a true researcher that studied this problem along with a group of friends that went into original county documents.

Brown-8239 and Braun-97 appear to represent the same person because: Probably duplicates sons -- William Shadrack Dye -- and duplicate husbands. Some sources are needed.
Brown-13169 and Brown-8239 appear to represent the same person because: These appear to be duplicate wives; however, there is a discrepancy in the date of death. Can someone track down the correct date?
If not, you can still merge and make a note in the biography of the resulting profile that the correct date is disputed and needs to be clarified.
Also, before merging, please make sure that Brown-8239 is definitely the lowest-number profile for this person.

If any of the Profile Managers has source documentation, I would like to see it posted in her Bio.
I'm going to set up a section for each of you to note your sources and research notes.
Let's see if we can get this all sorted out! Thanks!
Julie
