Laura (Bray) Williams was born in Cornwall, England.

Laura Bray was born in about 1880, her birth being registered at Helston, Cornwall in the 1st quarter of that year^[1]. She was the daughter of William Henry Bray and Mary Jane Brooks.

She was christened on 31 March 1880 at Sithney, Cornwall^[2].

Her husband Samuel emigrated from England to the United States in 1906, travelling on the ship Ivernia.

After the death of her mother Mary Jane in 1912, Laura (under her maiden name Bray) travelled to Boston, Massachusetts, United States, departing from Liverpool, London on 18 March 1912 on the ship Ivernia. Her nearest relative in England was recorded as her sister, Mrs. Hall of Ruan Minor. Her intended residence in Massachusetts was with her brother, Harry Sithney Bray.

In the 1940 United States Census Laura Williams (aged 58) was recorded living with her husband Samuel J Williams (55) and their second son Thomas J Williams (25) in Erving Town, Franklin, Massachusetts.

Laura passed away in 1940 and was buried at Highland Cemetery, Montague, Franklin County, Massachusetts^[4].
