Biography

Matthew was born in 1873. He was the son of Archibald Breckenridge and Mary McMillan. ^[1]

He was a salesman. He never married. He lived with his sister, Nettie who was a school teacher in Rockford, Illinois.

Matthew passed away in 1962.

Obituary

Matthew Breckenridge, 89, 758 N. 2nd St., a commission salesman here for many years, died at 7: 50 o'clock Friday night in St. Anthony Hospital after a brief illness.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Alex McCathran, Caledonia, and Nettie E. Breckenridge, Rockford, and a brother, A. James Breckenridge, Rockford.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Julian-Poorman Funeral Home, 304 N. 5th St. Burial will be in Cedar Bluff Cemetery. ^[2]
