I am quite new at genealogy research, and was wondering if you could help. I see that you have done quite a lot of work on the Brügmanns in Germany.
Have you perhaps come across a late 1700s birth notice for Karl Wilhelm Brügmann (wiki tree id. Brugman-226)? The original spelling is unclear. He came to South Africa in the early 1800s and the name is then rendered in the Dutch spelling.
Hi again, Gene. I have no relatives in Nebraska. The Wicks in your family may be related to mine further back, but no one in my family moved to Minnesota or Nebraska. My ancestors lived in New York, Pennsylvania, and Ohio.
Posted most of my photos on wikitree. Still have a lot of work to do to get the rest of the tree here. I have been really enjoying this site. Finding it more useful and easier to share with family members.
I had started my research when I was 16 years old. I am the person that my family comes to for information for I keep the records. Honestly, my family is only interested in information of interest to them but not the research. I love doing it for to me I get to put the pieces together. Kind of like the Sherlock Holmes of genealogy.
