MORTUARY MATTERS. Death of Mrs. Laura B. Hurd, of This City Other Notices. Mrs. Laura B. Hurd died yesterday afternoon at 6 o'clock at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. James S. Baker, after an illness of one week, of pneumonia. She was a daughter of the late Colonel George Brown, formerly one of Rochester's leading merchants. In 1847 she married Dr. Edwin B. Hurd, for many years one of the prominent homeopathic physicians of Rochester, who died in May, 1891. For more than thirty years she has been a member of the First Baptist Church. Four daughters survive: Mrs. James S. Baker, Mrs. Ambrose N. Lane and Mrs. John A. Stewart, of this city; and Mrs. Harry A. Blenkiron of Hastings, Neb. The funeral services will he held from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. James S. Baker, No. 111 Oxford street, at a time, to be announced later.
