Biography
When Sarah Jane Brown was born on January 28, 1847, in Elbert, Georgia, her father, Benjamin, was 35, and her mother, Mildred, was 26. She married Toliver Lewis Gaines (1845-1920) on January 10, 1867, in Hart, Georgia.[1] She died on December 5, 1916, at the age of 69, and was buried in Huntsville, Texas.[2]
