Biography

Rebecca Browne was born in 1640 in Providence, Rhode Island, her father, John, was 51, and her mother, Sarah, was 22. She married John Scott and they had one son together? . She then married Capt. John Whipple on April 15, 1678, in Providence, Rhode Island. She died on December 15, 1700, in her hometown at the age of 60.

NOTES

It is believed that Rebecca's maiden name was actually Brown before she married John Scott and that she is the daughter of John Brown. Also that she was born in 1642 at Portsmouth, Rockingham, New Hampshire. ^[2]
