Also present are Frank and Arthur Nicholson, Emily's younger brothers.[3]
In 1891 Frank is 10 years old and living at home in 15, William Street in Swinton, with his parents and younger brother Joseph. Frank is still at school.[4]
In 1901 Frank is 20 years old and living at home in 23, Hope Street, in Mexborough, with his parents and younger siblings Dorothy and Sam. Frank is now working as an apprentice glass blower, we understand that this was working at the Kilner Jar factory in Connisborough. [5]
In late 1909 Frank is married to Ellen Maria Hawes in Newport Mon. [6]
By 1911 Frank is married to Ellen Marie Hawes, they are living at 9, Prospect Street in Newport Mon. The couple have already given birth to a baby girl called Emily, she was named after her grandmother, sadly she has died shortly after birth[7]
In 1939 the family home is at 60, Brynglas Road in Newport, Mon, Frank, now a general labourer and is living with his younger brother and sister, Sam and Dorothy Brown. Also living in the home are Laurence R Brown and Sam W Brown, Sam would become my father in 1947. Also present in the house was Derek Lloyd, the son of Minnie (Brown) Lloyd, Frank's younger sister.[8]
Frank passed away in 1949, this was only 2 years after I was born, so I never knew him.
