Winifred Brydges was the daughter of John Brydges of London and his wife, Agnes Ayloffe. [1][2][3]
Before 1536 Winifred married Sir Richard Sackville of Buckhurst in Sussex and of Westenhanger in Kent, [3][1]son of John Sackville and his wife, Margaret Boleyn.[2] They were the parents of 3 sons and a daughter. [2]
Richard Sackville died on 21 April 1566.[2]
By this time in her fifties Winifred married John Paulet, later 2nd Marquess of Winchester,[2] [3][1] son of William Paulet and his wife, Elizabeth Capel about 1571.[4]They were, of course, childless. John died at Chelsea 4 November 1576 and was buried at Basing.[4]
Winifred died 16 June 1586 Chelsea and was buried in Wesminster Abbey.[4]
