Biography

Joshua was a Friend (Quaker)

Joshua Buffum was born to Robert and Tamson (sic) Buffum, February 22, 1635/6, at Salem, Massachusetts.[1]

Joshua married Damaris Pope by 1663, at Salem, Massachusetts.[2]

Joshua and his wife were both Quakers, and appeared in court for attending Quaker meetings.[3]

Joshua Buffum died October 19, 1705, about age 70.[4]

From what I am seeing and matching it with https://www.quakermeetings.com/Plone/meeting_view?anID=2018 I believe this man was "convinced" of the Quaker religion when the current MM at Lynn was known as the Salem MM.
