Byron was born in 1889. He was the son of Byron Burris and Annie Sersanous. He passed away in 1964.

Appeal Democrat - Fri 3/27/1964, p12 - Obituaries: Byron Burris Dead At 75 - Byron Burris, 75, former postmaster of Browns Valley, died last night at a Marysville hospital. - A native and life-long resident of Browns Valley, he was postmaster of Browns Valley for 25 years, retiring in 1948. - A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the American Legion post in Marysville. He operated the Casa Blanca Bar in Browns Valley. - Survivors include a sister, Miss Hazel Burris of Browns Valley. - Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hutchison's Colonial Chapel with Rev. Thomas Tweedie, pastor of the Marysville First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be in Browns Valley Cemetery.
