Raddegan Burt was born in Devon, England.

Raddegan Burt was born about 1598, probably in Harberton, Devon.^{[citation needed]} She was the daughter of Henry Burt, a clothier from Harberton, and Isett (Wilson) Burt and the sister of Henry Burt, who emigrated to New England circa.1639.

Raddegan was a beneficiary in her father's will, dated 10 July 1617:^[1]

To Raddegan, my daughter, £60, to be paid within three months after she shall be of the age of twenty-one

She was not named in her mother's noncupative will dated 8 July 1630.^[2]

Research Notes

1. Year of birth has been estimated from father's will. The earliest she could have been born was 1586 (=1617-21) since the will implies that Raddogan was under 21 years old when his will was written in 1617. This profile had an unsourced year of birth of 1598, which also fits in with the birth dates for her siblings, so this has been left unchanged.
