Stephen was born about 1707 to Thomas Butler and Abigail Andrews) Butler. He married Sarah Ingalls on 11 December 1730 in Gloucester, Essex, Massachusetts.[1] His father's will passed probate on 20 April 1764 in Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States.[2] Stephen died (age 68) on 19 August 1775 in Brentwood, New Hampshire.
