Spencer was born in 1882. He was the son of George Butler and Caroline Wall. He passed away in 1932. [1]

MR. SPENCER BUTLER
Many friends who remember the Butler family of-'Fernside," Casino road, near Lismore, who came to.the district from Inverell after the 1902 drought and ultimately returned there, will regret to learn of the death of Mr. Spencer Butler, only son of Mr. and Mrs. G. T. T. Butler, which has occurred in Sydney. The deceased leaves a wife and three sisters—Mrs. Thomas, of Chatswood, and the Misses Ethel and Mary Butler, of Inverell.
