Parley Cady, who was born and brought up in Addison Co., Vt., town of Hancock; his father, Noah, was of Scotch and Irish descent; Parley was in the war of 1812; he was a Baptist minister; was ordained in Crawford Co., Penn.; he died in July, 1869, in the town of Trenton. Parley was in the war of 1812; he was a Baptist minister; was ordained in Crawford County, Pennsylvania.

His obituary, source unknown, says that while he never had the pastoral charge of any church, he was frequently called upon to preach which he would often do.
