Biography
Lucius was born about 1825. He was the son of Alva Calkins and Anna Unknown. He married Mary Ann Ford on 8 Jul 1844 in Kosciusko, Indiana.[1] They had a family:[2] Lucius died sometime after 1850. See Research Notes.
Research Notes
- Death Date/Location unknown
- There were three men of about the same age named Lucius Calkins. Be careful when adding sources.
- Some biographies say that he died in 1851 but do not support it with records.
- Two children were listed with Mary Ann (Ford) Calkins in 1870 - John A. (b. ca. 1849) and Emma (possibly his daughter, born in 1855). That would mean that he had to be alive in 1854.
