Biography
Duncan Campbell, the forebear of this family in the County of Inverness, was married to Anne MacKillop, daughter of Duncan, and sister to Pioneer Alexander MacKillop of Mabou Ridge. Duncan died in the old Country while his widow and her family emigrated and settled at Mabou.
On their way from Lochaber to Mabou they spend some years in New York, USA, hence the family nickname "York". Their children were; Angus, John, Donald, Duncan, Mary and Allan.
