Biography

The daughter of Charles Campbell and Mary (Groves) Campbell, Linnie was born in York Township in 1877.[1] She married Pearl James R. Poling (1876-1968), the son of Isaac Poling and Sarah R. Brian, in Van Wert County, Ohio on April 20, 1898.[2] Their children included:

  1. Ethel "Lottie" (Poling) Johnson (1899-1974)
  2. Clarence E. Poling (1903-)
  3. Leah Amy (Poling) Harmon (1906-1966)
  4. Pearl James R. Poling, Jr. (1910-1965)
  5. Carroll Poling (1915-)
  6. Lowell E. Poling (1919-)

In 1900, they made their home and farmed in Union Township, Ohio.[3] By 1910, they had moved to where Linnie's family had moved, to Lenawee County, Michigan, farming in Rollin Township.[4] After the death of her father, her mother moved into her household in Rollin Township.[5] By 1930, they were in Wheatland Township, in Hillsdale County, Michigan.[6][7]

Linnie passed away at the age of 66 and is buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Hudson, Michigan.[8]
